Estée Lauder's global brand ambassador, Diana Penty, dons a pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women. However, awareness about the symptoms and the need for regular check-ups is imperceptible, especially in India. Leading an awareness campaign for the disease, Diana Penty recently took to her Instagram to address it, in the capacity of global brand ambassador of Estée Lauder's digital initiative, #ItsTimeToEndBreastCancer. The Cocktail actress posted a picture of her donning the pink ribbon, which is an international symbol for breast cancer awareness. In the caption of the post, she writes, "Simple actions in our daily lives can help bring us closer to a world without breast cancer. Encourage friends & family to get yearly health check-ups, schedule an annual mammogram if 40 years or older, wear a pink ribbon in support of the cause, focus on eating healthy, attend educational events or donate money to fund critical research." Diana also encouraged her followers to join the campaign for a breast cancer-free world by uploading a picture of their pink-themed look. Addressing her followers Diana adds, "For every public post/story on Instagram with the relevant hashtags in October 2019, the Estée Lauder Companies will donate Rs. 10 on your behalf to fund breast cancer awareness initiatives, research, education, and medical support."
